Katie Perry

Katie Perry reins native from the buckeye state where she graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s of fine arts in dance performance. While pursuing her studies, Katie trained in modern and ballet under the direction of Bebe Miller, Susan Hadley, Victoria Uris, and Susan Dromisky. While attending college, she danced on the professional NBA dance team for the Cleveland Cavaliers and also coached the Ohio State college dance team to a 2nd place national ranking. Katie completed the Broadway dance center internship program where she furthered her training under Salim Gauwloos, Sheila Barker, Luam, and Michelle Barber. Katie completed her college education earning distinction and cum laude honors as well as a minor in general business.

Katie moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career. While dancing professionally, Katie danced for top industry artists such as Beyoncé, Smokey Robinson, The Wambats, and The Steal Kids. She also worked with Daurden Contemporary Dance Theatre and Sypher Elite Dance Company. Katie is certified to teach mat Pilates through Pilates Sports Center.

Katie’s dancing strength has always lied with teaching. She has been teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop for over ten years. Katie has completed early childhood development and dance education classes through her college training, which gives her a special skill set when communicating and developing your young dancer. She is constantly inspiring her students to achieve their dance goals and reach new levels in their artistry. Katie has honesty in her teaching and loves sharing her passion and knowledge with her students.
