Kirsten Schwarz received her early training from the Draper Center for Dance Education in upstate New York. While training she had the opportunity to take part in a variety of performances with the Rochester City Ballet under the direction of Artistic Director Jamey Leverett. She went on to earn a B.F.A. in Dance at the University of Arizona on scholarship, where she had the opportunity to work with many renowned teachers and choreographers. While attending the University of Arizona, Kirsten had the opportunity to choreograph various works, which were featured in shows at the University. During college Kirsten attended the Hubbard Street summer program and River North’s summer program as well. After college Kirsten moved to New York City where she danced and assisted at the renowned Steps on Broadway. Kirsten went on to choreograph works for New York City Jazz Choreography Enterprise and Inaside Dance Works in Chicago. For the past three years she has also choreographed award-winning dances for dance studios in the Rochester area. Kirsten aspires to become an international freelance choreographer, but for now she is a new resident of Los Angles and hopes to share her passion with new students in the area.
