April Ayers

April Ayers started dancing in Northern California at the age of 5.  At 13 she was awarded a full scholarship to train at the San Francisco Ballet and at 16 was accepted into a summer intensive at the School of American Ballet in New York City.  April is a graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts and she also studied under scholarship with master teachers David Howard and Alonzo King. April danced professionally with Ballet Metropolitan in Columbus, Ohio. After a long break from dance due to injury,  April Ayers became a mom of 3 children and has been teaching ballet in Los Angeles for the past 6 years at Anisa’s School of Dance.  April also taught for 3 years at RC Dance Center in Burbank.  Her choreography credits for the RC’s production of the Nutcracker include, Waltz of the Flowers, Snow, Angels and Arabian Dance. April Ayers is passionate about teaching the ABT® National Training Curriculum and has been providing quality ballet training to children in Los Angeles.  She is loved by her students and most of all enjoys making serious ballet training joyful and fun!
